There’s something about a waterfall hike that makes the adventure feel extra magical. Maybe it’s the sound of rushing water echoing through a canyon or the refreshing mist that cools you off after a climb. On our latest Girls Only Adventure Trip Local GOAT, we hit the trail to Stewart Falls, and it did not disappoint.
The Vibe
We kicked off the morning with coffee in hand, laughter in the air, and a solid crew of women ready to take on the trail. Stewart Falls is one of Utah’s gems. It’s an easy-to-moderate 4-mile round trip hike that rewards you with jaw-dropping views, wildflowers, and a picture-perfect two-tiered waterfall at the end.
We started at the Aspen Grove Trailhead, surrounded by the towering peaks of Mount Timpanogos and fresh alpine air. Right from the start, we were treated to shady aspen groves, views of the canyon below, and plenty of trail banter.
Trail Highlights
Midway through the hike, the trees opened up to a sneak peek of the falls in the distance…cue the collective “oooooh” moment. A little further down the trail, we caught a breeze carrying the cool spray from the falls. Some of us dunked our heads in the chilly water, others perched on nearby rocks for a lunch break and photo op (because if you hike to a waterfall and don’t take a pic…did you even go?).
Why We Loved It
This hike was the perfect mix of accessible and awe-inspiring. It wasn’t too difficult, but rewarding enough to feel like an accomplishment. The conversations on the trail, the shared lunch, and the group cheer when we reached the falls made it more than just a hike- it was a memory.
What We Wore & Packed
