December’s Local GOAT hike was the kind of day that reminds us why we get outside year round. Blue skies, winter sunshine, and a whole lot of festive spirit made this one for the books.
We logged eight miles along the Pipeline Trail in Millcreek Canyon, moving through crisp air with the sun shining overhead. It was one of those rare winter days that felt both energizing and peaceful. The trail gave us steady miles, great conversation, and plenty of moments to pause and appreciate just how beautiful Millcreek can be, even in December.
Adding to the fun, sparkly Santa hats made an appearance, bringing a lighthearted, celebratory vibe to the hike. They sparked smiles on the trail, great photo ops, and plenty of laughter as we cruised along together. Proof that adventure doesn’t have to be serious to be meaningful.
Midday brought a well-earned break and delicious lunches from Jimmy John’s. Simple, satisfying, and exactly what we needed after putting in the miles. There’s something about sharing a meal outdoors that makes the experience even better, a chance to slow down, refuel, and connect before heading back out.
This December Local GOAT hike perfectly captured what these outings are all about. Strong miles, supportive community, and moments of joy that carry far beyond the trail. Whether you came for the distance, the company, or the Santa hat vibes, it was a day worth celebrating.
As we wrap up the year, we’re grateful for every woman who shows up, laces up, and makes these adventures what they are. We can’t wait to keep exploring together in the new year.
