There’s something magical about June in the Wasatch—wildflowers blooming, sunshine stretching into the evening, and just enough mountain breeze to keep the sweat from turning into regret. So what better way to celebrate the season than with a Girls Only Adventure Trip up one of Salt Lake’s most iconic peaks?
Our June Hiking Happy Hour to Grandeur Peak was the perfect mix of challenge, camaraderie, and celebration.
We kicked off at 6pm sharp, bug spray on and hearts full, with a steady climb up the Church Fork trail. This route doesn’t mess around—it’s short, steep, and earns its name in full. But with a crew of GOATs hyping each other up the whole way, the summit didn’t stand a chance.
We paused for photos (and let’s be honest, breath-catching) as the sun set over the ridgeline, lighting up the valley below like a scene out of a Utah postcard. There’s nothing quite like sipping electrolytes with new friends while staring down at a city winding down its day.
Once we reached the top, the vibes were high and the snacks were flowing—trail mix, fruit, and a couple of celebratory cans of sparkling mocktails (cheers to peak life!). We soaked in the views of the Salt Lake Valley, Mount Olympus, and even glimpses of the Great Salt Lake on the horizon.
But the best part? Feeling accomplished at the end!
Takeaways from June’s Happy Hour Hike:
- There’s nothing more powerful than a group of women cheering each other up a mountain.
- Creek dips should be mandatory after any hike over 1,000 feet of gain.
- Grandeur Peak lives up to its name—especially with a group of GOATs beside you.
If you missed this one, don’t worry—we’ve got more Hiking Happy Hours coming your way. Join us next month for more sweat, snacks, and summit-toasting.
Because when women hike together, the views always hit different.
