Let’s be honest—if you combine mountain views, a hidden alpine lake, and custom donuts, you’re basically describing our dream day. And that’s exactly what went down at the very first Alpine Swim Club hike with Girls Only Adventure Trips.
Our destination? Silver Lake in American Fork Canyon. It’s a gem tucked into the Lone Peak Wilderness, with cold, clear water perfect for a post-hike plunge. But before we hit the trail, we fueled up in the most elite way possible—with custom GOAT donuts from Donut Star. Picture the cutest pink and purple donuts spelling out GOAT with sprinkles as wild as we are. Zero regrets, 100% sugar-fueled joy.
With donuts in hand (and let’s be real, some of us double-fisting), we hit the trail. The hike to Silver Lake is no joke. It’s steep, rugged, and absolutely stunning. Wildflowers lined the trail like nature’s cheerleaders, and the views of Mount Timpanogos and surrounding peaks had us stopping for photo breaks that doubled as “catch-your-breath” breaks.
After about 3 miles of sweat and support (and yes, a few donut-fueled pep talks), we reached the lake—and it did not disappoint. Cold. Clear. Inviting. A few brave GOATs stripped down to swimsuits and took the plunge, while others dipped tired feet into the icy water and let the mountain magic soak in. There were goosebumps, giggles, and a whole lot of cheering.
The hike down was filled with that delicious combo of tired legs and happy hearts. We returned muddy, sun-kissed, and already dreaming of the next dip.
