Some people chase sunsets.
In July, we chased waterfalls — and found one worth every step.
On a sunny July morning, our crew of adventurous women laced up their boots, grabbed their water bottles, and hit the Bell Canyon trailhead with one goal: to see the stunning Lower Falls in all its summer glory.
The Hike
Bell Canyon Lower Falls is one of those Utah gems that combines just the right amount of challenge with a big, splashy payoff. The trail gave us a little bit of everything — shaded trail, rocky steps, and plenty of “let’s stop here for a photo (or a break!)” moments.
The best part? Hiking together meant no hill felt too steep and no break felt too long. We laughed, swapped trail snack recommendations, and encouraged each other all the way up.
The Payoff
When the falls finally came into view, the sound of rushing water instantly made the summer heat fade away. The mist coming off the cascade was nature’s own air conditioning — and we weren’t shy about sitting close enough to get a little damp while eating our lunch.
Cue the selfies, group shots, and “we made it!” cheers. We lingered for a while, letting the waterfall’s roar drown out the rest of the world.
Why We GOAT
This hike wasn’t just about ticking another trail off the list. It was about connection — with the outdoors, with each other, and with ourselves. That’s the magic of our Local GOAT adventures: you can show up solo and leave with new friends (and sore calves).
Whether it’s your first hike or your fiftieth, there’s something special about sharing the trail with a group of women who show up for the experience and for each other.
Join the Next One
If Bell Canyon Lower Falls taught us anything, it’s that chasing waterfalls is always worth it — especially with the right crew. Keep an eye on our Local GOAT calendar for the next chance to join us on the trail.
Until then, happy hiking.
