GOAT Takes Moab: Red Rocks, Rainstorms & Unforgettable Memories

October 2025

Our fall adventure to Moab was one for the books — full of unexpected twists, wild weather, and plenty of laughter.

Wednesday: Welcome to Utah

The adventure began as everyone flew into Salt Lake City, where we kicked things off with dinner at Facil Taqueria — the perfect spot to fuel up and get to know one another before hitting the road. Between tacos, margaritas, and laughter, it already felt like the start of something special.

Thursday: The Great Pivot

We woke up ready for a day of adventure, but Mother Nature had other plans. With storm clouds rolling in, our canyoneering adventure was cancelled, and we made a quick pivot to set our sights on Canyonlands National Park for a short but scenic hike to Mesa Arch. The shifting skies only made the desert landscape more dramatic. Later that day, we traded hiking boots for seatbelts and took on Hell’s Revenge in a Hummer with Highpoint Hummers – heart-pounding fun and incredible views that made everyone scream and laugh in equal measure!

Friday: Rain or Shine, We Hike

Friday tested our GOAT spirit — steady rainstorms couldn’t stop us from exploring Arches National Park. We made our way to Delicate Arch, Landscape Arch, and then ventured outside the park to Corona Arch, each trail offering its own brand of red rock magic. The rain only added to the adventure (and made the hot showers back at the hotel feel even better).

Saturday: Towers, Tubs & Toasts

After a well-earned brunch, we hiked the stunning Fisher Towers Trail, where towering spires and moody clouds made for some of our favorite photos of the weekend. That afternoon, we kicked back in the hot tub, swapped stories, and soaked in the desert calm before heading out for one last Moab sunset, pizza dinner, and our closing ceremony — celebrating friendship, resilience, and another GOAT trip in the books.

Sunday: Homeward Bound

With full hearts (and dusty boots), we packed up and made our way back to Salt Lake City, already talking about where the next adventure might take us.

A Note on Visiting During the Shutdown

Even though our trip coincided with the government shutdown, our group took utmost care to respect the parks. We packed out all trash, stayed on designated trails, and followed Leave No Trace principles every step of the way. Moab’s landscapes are powerful, sacred places — and we’re grateful to experience them responsibly together.

Until next time, Moab. You tested us, wowed us, and reminded us why every adventure — planned or improvised — is better with this crew. 🧡
