There are few things better than spending a summer day in the Uinta Mountains, and today’s Alpine Swim Club adventure was one for the books.
Our crew hit the trail bright and early, making our way through the beautiful high alpine scenery on the hike to Wall Lake. The trail was lined with wildflowers, towering pines, and crisp mountain air that reminded us exactly why we love escaping to the mountains on hot summer weekends.
Once we reached the lake, it was time for the best part: jumping into the crystal clear water! Armed with a rainbow of colorful inner tubes, we floated, laughed, soaked up the sunshine, and enjoyed the kind of afternoon that makes summer feel endless. Whether they were brave enough to dive right in or preferred to ease into the chilly alpine water, everyone left refreshed and smiling.
Of course, no GOAT adventure is complete without good food. We spread out along the shoreline for a Jimmy John’s picnic lunch, enjoying sandwiches with one of the prettiest lunch views Utah has to offer.
After a relaxing afternoon at the lake, we packed up and hiked back to the trailhead, already reminiscing about our favorite moments from the day. But we weren’t quite finished yet. On the drive home, we made one final stop at The Corn Dog Company in Kamas for the ultimate post-hike treat. Because somehow, a hot, crispy corndog just tastes even better after a day spent hiking and swimming in the mountains.
Days like these are exactly what Alpine Swim Club is all about: getting outside, making new friends, embracing a little adventure, and creating memories you’ll be talking about long after summer is over.
