When I moved to Salt Lake City, I didn't know a single person. I had mountains in every direction and no one to explore them with. So in 2024, I made one Instagram post asking if any women wanted to go hiking.
A few women showed up. Then a few more. Two years later, more than 200 women have hiked with GOAT. So many of them came alone, just like I did, and left with real friends.
That's what GOAT has always been about. Making friends as an adult is hard, and getting outside together makes it easier. Our hikes give women a reason to show up, try something new, and challenge themselves alongside people who are cheering them on.
Our groups stay small, so everyone actually talks to each other and nobody gets left behind. I'm WFA and BLS certified, and I plan every detail so you just show up and enjoy. Small groups also mean our events fill fast, and I kept hearing from regulars who missed out.
The Founding Herd is my way of making sure the women who show up again and again actually get a spot. I'm keeping it to 20 membership spots so it stays personal.

Yes, however the GOAT Founding Membership term lasts for the full year and is non-refundable and non-transferable. At the end of 2027, membership will auto-renew at the same price for founding members. If you don't want to stay a GOAT Founding Member, your renewal will be cancelled as long as you've provided notice before renewal.
No. Members must still register for events online. Members will receive 48 hour advance notice of new hike/event launches. If all spots are filled, the member can register for the waitlist, and will have priority access to join if someone backs out.

No. Each membership is for one person and non-transferable. Members have access to a "Bring a Friend Pass" which will let you bring someone new to a Hiking Happy Hour. Abuse of this process will have your membership revoked and denial to return to future GOAT events.
