Some days are about pushing miles. Others are about slowing down enough to actually feel where you are.
Our recent Local GOAT trip to Maple Grove Hot Springs was fully in the second category and exactly what we all needed.
Tucked just over the Utah border, the springs feel like their own little world. Rolling hills, open sky, and a quiet that you don’t realize you’ve been craving until you’re standing in it. From the moment we arrived, the pace shifted. No rush, no pressure. Just time to unwind.
We spent the day rotating between pools, each one a slightly different temperature, finding our favorite spots and settling in. Some of us leaned into conversation, sharing stories and laughing like we’d known each other for years. Others just soaked in silence, letting the mineral water and mountain air do their thing.
And that’s kind of the magic of these trips. You get to show up exactly how you are.
Of course, we couldn’t pass up the chance to make it a full experience. Think cozy coverups, snack boxes packed with all the good stuff, and those little in-between moments that end up being the most memorable. Sitting poolside with the sun dipping lower, music playing softly, and that collective feeling of “we should do this more often.”
No big agenda. No summit to chase. Just presence.
By the time we packed up, everyone looked a little more relaxed, a little more grounded, and a lot more connected than when we started.
Sometimes adventure looks like a hike.
Sometimes it looks like hot springs, good company, and a full nervous system reset.
This one was the latter and it delivered.
